ABOUT

49 NORTH ADVENTURES

We Know Where to Find Real Adventure

Captain sidi

Captain Sidi (pronounced CD) has been exploring the natural beauty British Columbia has to offer for over 25 years. From land to sea, he's an avid adventurer through and through. Sidi decided to put that passion for the ocean to work when he started 49 North Adventures, aptly named after the 49th parallel that we call home. Join him on his boat for a bespoke tour of some of the most beautiful (and hidden!) gems Vancouver's coastal surroundings have to offer! His local knowledge is the key to ensuring your adventure is one of a kind. You won't find any tour quite like it.

Meet your captain.

Highlight of our summer! Booked this tour with a couple of friends, and had an awesome day on the water. Swimming and exploring the Howe Sound. We even docked at Bowen for a little coffee break and walk. It was amazing to see what's just minutes from the city when you have a boat! Like being on vacation. Well worth it in every way.

We had an incredible time with 49 North Adventures. Our guide was professional, made us feel safe, and super fun! My favorite part was stopping at Bowen for lunch, and swimming in the Howe Sound. I feel super lucky that we discovered and chose this tour.

Sidi was an amazing guide! Our boat day adventure was the highlight of our visit to Vancouver. Amazing to see the city from the water, and explore the natural beauty that BC has to offer. We were even lucky enough to spot a whale! Will definitely book again next visit.

49 North is the best! We really enjoyed our boat day with Sidi. He was very knowledgable about the area, and even set crab traps for us. My first time on a boat in the ocean, and it was amazing!

Questions for the Captain?

  • How many people can fit on the boat?
Our vessel comfortably fits 4 passengers plus our captain. Our private tours are designed for small groups looking for a personalized experience on the water. This allows us to make sure everyone is having fun, feeling safe, and having an awesome adventure day on the water!
  • What if I can't swim?
Safety is our top priority, so we ask that all of our adventurers are comfortable and capable in the water. That includes knowing how to swim. When booking your tour, you'll be asked to confirm that all parties are capable swimmers. All passengers will be required to confirm this on their own behalf when signing their waiver.
  • Can I bring alcohol on board?
Yes. We are licensed and insured for our guests to enjoy alcoholic beverages responsibly on board! Our captain will always remain sober, and is ultimately responsible for everyone's safety. This may mean that you will be asked and required to stop or refrain from drinking, if the captain has determined that it's no longer safe for you and others to do so.
